Baby Hudson has finally joined our family! We've been patiently awaiting his arrival, and on February 5th, he made his debut. I wasn't sure how if I was going to get to be there for his birth, but everything turned out and I was able to meet him shortly after he was born. It snowed the night they went to the hospital to be induced, and we were given a snow day the next day. The beauty of living in a bigger city is that they get the roads cleared pretty quickly, so my worst nightmare of snow actually turned into a blessing because I was able to head up to Wayne and not have to take any time off school to do so!
I headed up there that day and met the rest of the family who was already there at the hospital. Wayne has this tiny little hospital, and we all had to wait in this family waiting room. No one was allowed in the birthing room like we were used to.

We didn't wait long once there. Hudson was born at 3:15 that afternoon, and we were able to meet him within the hour. Megan did a great job, and Jake survived the whole ordeal too! :) He is SO sweet!
Everyone went home that night to leave the new parents to rest, but I got to stick around and help. It was funny to watch and remember that first night and when the reality hits that this is your child and you are taking it with you when you leave in a few days!
