This was the question my husband asked after I called him on my way home tonight. Our local Lululemon store hosted their 2nd annual Lemon Chase 5K tonight and my friend JoAnn talked me into doing it. I figured it would be good practice for the Superhero race I've been preparing for.
We were there among a couple hundred of our closest friends, ha! When I picked up my race chip I got a little intimidated. I don't think I look like a runner, and everyone around me looked the part. Clearly anyone that's coming out on a random Tuesday night probably means business! Luckily as we got closer to the race more and more "normal" people started showing up! ;-)

We all got lined up and they started the race. They forgot to mention before we started that there would be some hills in this course. I'm actually glad I didn't know that before...some things are better off as a surprise! We got going, and I found myself actually not hating life. I managed to finish, and I could not have been more thrilled! What a rush to cross that finish line!

| My results |
I managed to finish 86th out of over 200 people. Not bad for my first race running it all. I finished 21st in my age range, and 57th in my gender. Not sure how many people were in my age range, but I guarentee it was the largest group there since that's what we're all doing in our thirties these days! ;-)

| We did it!! |
When Jovan asked me if I had fun, I told him that I don't think that I will ever use "fun" as an adjective describing running, but I certainly feel accomplished. I finally achieved that "runner's high" and look forward to many more races!
